This song is called Get Ready (Hot Machete) and it’s by Jonezetta. It was released way back in 2006 on their debut album Popularity.
I heard it at work on our playlist and now I can’t stop listening to it.
Ignorance.
I know the woman who was the victim of the assault at York’s Absinthe pub. And yes, she’s a woman. Very much so. And yes, she’s a lesbian. That does not make her any less of a woman. It doesn’t matter if these idiots were drunk or high or whatever; you DO NOT punch a woman. I don’t understand how people can’t hate on someone, let alone physically assault them, because of their sexual orientation. It’s mind-boggling.
Some form of punishment needs to be implemented on these three men. No, they’re not men. They’re less than that. They’re less than anything. They’re scum, plain and simple.
It was an attack that stemmed from homophobia. The three scum should be ashamed of themselves. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is stupidity.
